Welcome to Biz Brainstorms –

My name's Connor.

I go down weekly rabbit holes of business ideas, lessons, & good finds.

Then, you get this 200 second email.

Today's Outline:
100K Idea – Real Estate Maps
$1M Idea – No Burping

Todays Sponsor: Constant Hire

I’ve hired ~50 people for my own companies.

We got really good at hiring (to the point where we’ve sold $12M+ in our e-commerce business and completely removed ourselves from the day-to-day).

Part of that involves writing a killer job description.

Here is the template I use that gets us 4-10x the normal amount of applicants.

Ariel & Retail Logo Maps

Everyone in real estate knows the phrase:

“LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION”

It’s one of the most important things when buying property.

It’s always the reason that when any broker is selling a commercial property, there’s almost always a photo in it that looks like this:

Or this:

Well, here’s the good news. These are put together manually. Which… sucks.

When validating a business idea I love to search Reddit and find 2 things:

1) People with the same problem as me
2) The top voted comment explaining that they do it manually

Here’s the better news:

You can outsource this work to someone overseas for as little as $10.

So what's the plan?

• Build your site (LogoMaps•com)
• Get a list of every commercial real estate broker
• Give them a credit to make their first map for free
• Charge $149 per afterwards

Napkin math says average broker does 10 deals/year

Find 100 brokers. Offer 24 hour turnaround every time.

$149,000/year minus expenses (software, COGs, marketing, etc.)

People Can’t Burp

Here’s something crazy:

It’s an entire community of people who can’t burp.

Why is this a problem?

Well if you’ve ever chugged a whiteclaw, you understand that the pressure in your stomach and chest builds only to be relieved by a massive belch.

There are people on this planet who can’t experience that relief. Hence, the no burp community.

But… there’s a new practice that allows individuals to inject botox into the cricopharyngeal muscles in their neck (I’m not a doctor, this is not medical advice).

This supposedly provides instant relief and let’s individuals burp again.

From my quick research… the procedure goes for about $6,000.

How much would these doctors pay for leads? $250? $500?

Build a content site that aggregates the top research, tips and news on this very very niche topic (ICantBurp.com)

Grow the traffic of the site either organically or with Google PPC ads.

Then, partner with local doctors who perform this operation to sell them these leads.

The TAM is unknown here, but doing the math:

0.1% of the 350M US Population
x
1% of People Who Want To & Have The Means To Fix This Problem
x $350/lead
=
$1,225,000

Btw I broke this business down on Chris Koerners podcast recently.

ScrapBooks

Take it from a self storage owner – people can’t throw out their junk.

America has a serious hoarding problem. Everything has become sentimental.

They turn your kids art projects into Art Books & Mocaics.

Can you imagine throwing out your 8 year olds art project?

Instead they sell $75 art books and $189 framed prints.

This business can expand into dozens of verticals with the same exact model:

• Love letters to/from your significant other
• Grandparents physical photos
• Preserving youth sports trophies

The opportunities are endless!

✌️ See you next week
