👶 Baby Food
People ask me why I love e-commerce and it boils down to this tweet here:
Elated to announce that Hiya, one of our cornerstone clients, has been acquired for $260M, less than 5 years from launch.
As one of the founding members of Hiya, this is a special day.
Hiya has established itself as one of the leading children’s wellness brands in the world.… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Hiya was five years old. 100% DTC. Zero venture funding.
And in 2024 did $100M+ in sales. And people say e-commerce is dying.

And you might think it’s crazy that kids even need vitamins in the first place, but the real crazy stat is that over 70% of baby food is ultra processed.
Which can be linked to heart disease, diabetes, metabolic issues, even cancer…
Awareness for Ultra Processed Foods has 10x’d in recent years.

I think the top DTC business anyone can build in 2025 is simple:
An organic, never processed, whole food baby food.
“Connor that exists”…sure.
There are 2 main players today. Once Upon A Farm & Little Spoon.
And in growing markets, there are a million ways to position yourself to standout.
Plus the baby food market does $100B+ in annual sales. So I think there’s a very real opportunity to build more in this space and continue to capture that trend.
🚢 Cruise Ships
Here’s the craziest stat I heard in 2024: 70% of all cruise ships are booked through a travel agent.
To give you more context, 35.7M people booked a cruise in 2024.
Want to know the number one player in this space? Vacations To Go… this is their website:

Here’s the idea:
You build a public directory of cruise booking options with non-gated pricing, activities, destinations and excursions.
Build a ChatGPT help bot with the people who want travel agent level of support.
The biggest constraint here is navigating the black box of booking & infrastructure systems that cruise ships have already built.
But, if I wanted to start a new business next year, it would be this.
✈️ Medical Tourism
Picture this, you’re boarding a flight to turkey and ½ the flight is balding
Well, that’s because medical tourism is exploding.

Medical Tourism is the process of traveling for an elective surgery to another country because it’s cheaper.
The formula is simple:
High price difference
High quality in foreign country
Non-Insurance covered operations
It’s not just for hair transplants.
Operations that fall under this bucket include things such as: Veneers, Breast Augmentation, Stem Cells & Liposuction.
And countries that people are traveling to include: Thailand, Turkey, Poland, Mexico, India, & Malaysia.
There are 2 ways you can breakout here. Own a niche and either build a:
Done For You Service – Book the flight, accommodation, pickup from hotel, dinner reservation, everything. It’s a travel agency for medical tourism.
Directory of vetted doctors/clinics in foreign countries – This is harder but if you can find a mutually agreed upon standard of practice along with sourcing user reviews & feedback, can be very valuable.
That’s a wrap!
See you next year 😉
